St James' in Portobello is a busy church with an active congregation and a wide variety of community and church organisations which use the premises each week. The Church is located in Rosefield Place, just off Brighton Place (You can find us on this map provided by Multimap.com) and the building itself is set out in carefully tended gardens which greet all who visit the church. Here are some commonly asked questions with answers.

There are two regular services at St James’ each week with additional services throughout the year. Sunday at 11am is the main service of the week. The music is a mixture of traditional hymns and modern worship songs and participation by the congregation through readings or leading prayers. On a Wednesday morning at 10.30am there is a ‘Thought for The Day’ Service.

Our Junior Church, the Sunday School and Breakfast club cater for children aged 3 to 16 years. The groups meet in the Halls each Sunday (with holidays following the school terms). Click the picture for more information.
