Worship

Worship at St James’

Sunday at 11am is the main service of the week. The music is a mixture of traditional hymns and modern worship songs. The Junior Church joins the congregation for the start of the service before going to the halls for their own meeting. The minister leads worship with 'On a lighter note' for children of all ages and 'On a serious note' - thoughts, observations and reflection on the bible readings.

We have a projector and screen and this is used sometimes in worship to illustrate the talk with the Children of the Junior Church, to display new hymns or as an aid to the Ministers talk

In addition to the traditional Sunday morning worship at 11am, there is a 15 minute service each Wednesday morning at 10.30 in the Church Hall which is led by a mixture of members of the Congregation or invited guests. The subject matters vary widely and it is a relaxed and informal time.

Throughout the year at St James we have a number of services and informal worship events, details of these will appear on the homepage.
