James’ we are pleased to welcome you and we hope you feel at home here.
A leaflet about St James and our magazine ‘Housecall’ are both
available please feel free to take copies of these with you. If you
haven’t done so before, please sign our visitor’s book.
Everyone is
invited to the halls, located directly behind the church, after this service to
enjoy an opportunity to meet up and enjoy a tea, coffee and juice.

The regular Wednesday Activities
at St James take place this week. The Coffee Morning and bacon rolls is from
10am - 11.30am and Thought For the Day is at 10.30am. - Everyone is
invited to attend the Lent Study Group which is being run by the All Age
Learning Group. The meetings started last week but each is stand-alone. The
meetings will take place on a Wednesday at 7.30pm in the Church Halls –
three dates remaining 10th, 17th and 24th of
March. The subject matter is ‘The Stations of the Cross’. - The
Christian Aid Stall will take place today after the service and it will be selling
Easter Eggs. - The
March edition of Housecall will be available next Sunday. - If
you can help with the distribution of the Parish Easter Card and magazine,
could you please speak with Walter Herriot. This is an important part of our
outreach to all in the Parish. - There
is a box of surplus envelopes at the back of the Church, there has been a
good take-up of these but there are some left, feel free to take some if you are in
need of a few spare ones. - The
Football Night, featuring Question of Sport & Football Forum, will be
held on Friday 26th March, 7.30pm. Tickets are £5, all fund
raised to St James’. Please speak with Paul Mitchell if you are
interested in coming along. - If
you can, please check out our new website. It now includes details of the
services and intimations. - The St Philips Drama
Groups are performing ‘The Merry Widow of Bluegum Creek’ from 9th
– 13th March. Tickets
