The
Sacrament of Holy Communion is celebrated at St James’ this morning in
a Family Communion Service. - After
the service this morning the Junior Church is throwing a tea party for the entire congregation.
It’s in aid of the Marie Curie Cancer Charity. For a £1 donation
you can have tea, coffee and cakes, there will also be a chance to win a
prize or two as well as a Marie Curie stall which will also feature items
made by the Junior Church. - The Wednesday Coffee Morning and
bacon rolls morning takes place from 10am until 11.30am while our midweek
service Thought For the Day is on summer break and returns in September. - The
Junior Church meets today for the last time this session next Sunday,
resuming again in mid-August. All Children are welcome in Church over the
summer and the crèche continues throughout. - Our
gardens continue to be well tended and are a welcome sight to all who venture
to St James’. The Gardening group are keen to recruit new volunteers.
If you have a couple of hours to spare on a Monday from 10am – 12 Noon
you will be warmly welcomed - If you
are going away on holiday or just away on a day trip, if on your travels you
either attend a church service or visit a Church, please can you bring back
any magazines, order of service sheets or leaflets that the church has to
offer. These will be used by the Communication Team and Junior Church. - Are you
finding your garden harder to manage these days? Or are you a keen gardener longing for
a garden to grow your own fruit, veg or flowers? If so PEDAL Garden Share Scheme are
keen to match volunteer gardeners with garden owners who’d like some
