Junior Church
Our Junior
Church groups, the Sunday school and Breakfast club cater for children aged 3
to 16 years.
The groups
meet in the Halls each Sunday (with holidays following the school terms) and we
are currently on holiday but will resume mid-August. We have a crèche available
every week for children and this continues throughout the summer although all
children are very welcome at the main service.
All children
are welcome at Junior Church.
A wide
variety of activities are undertaken by the Junior Church groups using Art,
Drama, Quizzes, Storytelling, Crafts and Discussion.
Junior Church News
The last
meeting for the 2009/10 session is June 27th. The Creche will
continue to operate throughout the summer.
To
celebrate the end of term, we hosted a Tea Party on behalf of Marie Curie
Cancer Care and raised £200 !
Flowers !
We potted
as planned the Marie Curie Daffodils and everyone who was at Church that day
took home their pot and help it grow over the winter months. A coffee morning
was held with all our daffodils on display and all monies raised were sent to
Marie Curie Cancer Care Charity.
Christmas 2009 at St James’
The Junior
Church led the whole service on Sunday 20th December as we presented the
Nativity Play. With a theme of the Star, we choose the all the music for the
service and the nativity was be performed in stages throughout. Everyone had
have their part to play and it was fun for the children and was enjoyed by the
whole congregation.
