St James'
in Portobello is a Church of Scotland congregation that aims to be at the heart
of life within its parish boundaries. A wide variety of community and church organisations
use the premises each week (see what’s on page for details). The Church is
located in Rosefield Place, just off Brighton Place and the building itself is
set out in carefully tended gardens which greet all who visit the church.
St James
has a reputation as a warm welcoming place and we would love to see you in
2010.
We have
some commonly asked questions with answers in ‘Come as you are’ which we hope you find
helpful but if you would like more information about coming to St James' just
e-mail us at mailbox@stjamesparishchurch.org.uk and we'll get back to you.
There are
two regular services at St James’ each week with additional services throughout
the year. Sunday at 11am is the main service of the week and on a Wednesday
morning at 10.30am there is ‘Thought for The Day’. Our Junior Church groups,
