St James'
in Portobello is a congregation of the Church of Scotland. We aim to be at
the heart of life within our parish boundaries and a wide variety of church
and community organisations use our premises each week. The Church is located
in Rosefield Place, just off Brighton Place and the
buildings are set out in beautiful gardens. Our
Sunday Service is at 11am and lasts around an hour. The service it is a
mixture of readings, music and reflection. Our Junior Church also meets at
11am and is for ages 3- 15, we have a crèche for under 3’s. We have recently
started a ‘Messy Church’ details on our Junior Church page. Anyone is
welcome at anytime and if you are thinking about coming but wish to know a
little more, we have some commonly asked questions with answers about coming
to Church here - ‘Come as you are’
which we hope you find helpful On Sunday 19th May the 11am service takes
place at the Old Parish Church in Bellfield Street it’s a joint service of
the 3 CoS Congregations in the area. On Friday 24th May we have our Annual
Sports Night. If you
