St James'
in Portobello is a congregation of the Church of Scotland. We aim to be at
the heart of life within our parish boundaries and a wide variety of church and
community organisations use our premises each week. The Church is located in Rosefield Place, just off Brighton Place and the
buildings are set out in beautiful gardens. This
year, 2012, St James’ celebrates 100 years of worship in its present
location. We would love to see you. Our
Sunday Service is at 11am and lasts almost a hour, it is a mixture of
readings, music and reflection. Our Junior Church also meets at 11am and is
for ages 3- 15, we have a crèche for under 3’s. We
have some commonly asked questions with answers about coming to Church here -
‘Come as you are’ which we hope you
find helpful. If you
